Designed by Carl Schaper, the Pro-9 performance longboard is Bonga Perkins’ favorite all-around board. For over 20 years now, former 2-time World Champion Bonga has been riding slight variations of this shape. The most significant improvement is in the Pro-9’s nose riding capability.

Shape:
The Pro-9 is a longboard with as much shortboard crammed into it as possible. Carl Schaper will often point out the back-third of the board, as it fits almost perfectly on his 6’2 step up, with the same thickness, tail dimensions and rails. The bottom has a soft roll to V in the middle, running into V with a double concave in the tail. Designed as a single fin or quad fin set-up, the Pro-9 is a low-volume, extremely high-performance longboard, capable of doing it all with tons of manoeuvring and solid nose-riding!
Fin Set-up:
The Pro-9 comes in a 4+1 fin configuration enabling you to be creative in your setup as a quad or thruster. NSP positioned the Surf 10 fin box slightly further back, to make it available for a thruster setup. The Pro-9 comes with FTU fin boxes, making it compatible with Futures® Fins (fins not included).

The CSE Butter Knife is a Carl Schaper creation. Carl Schaper is best known for his longboards, but his Butter Knife is second to none, when it comes to his mini-tank designs.

CONSTRUCTION:
Built with NSP’s Shaper’s Union Custom Surf Epoxy (CSE) layup, we came up with a unique glassing schedule for the Butter Knife, instead of a one-size-fits-all technology. The boards come with a clear UV-stable resin and satin rub finish and combined with a CNC-cut EPS core, laminated with full 220g (8oz) biax glass + 4oz deck and 6oz bottom, a 4oz fin patch, a 6mm wood stringer, bottom carbon stringer and carbon-reinforced tail, giving you a durable, high-performance longboard with flex that feels light and responsive.
Fin Set-up:
The CSE Butter Knife comes with a 4+1 fin configuration allowing you to get creative in your setup. Try a quad, thruster or even single fin. NSP positioned the Surf 10 fin box slightly further back on purpose, making a realistic thruster setup work out as well. All Butter Knives come with FTU fin boxes and are compatible with Futures® Fins (fins not included).

The Cheater is a Carl Schaper design and it is a board that can fill multiple slots in your quiver. If you ever had to choose a single-board quiver, the CSE Cheater would be a solid choice. Wide enough, with adequate volume to work well in average surf, a Cheater also lights up when the power comes on.

The Chopstix features a clean, rounded tail with a thruster fin set-up, combined with a single concave running the length of the board and a unique low-forward rocker allowing you to get into waves early and providing massive acceleration and speed control once surfing.
